At Emerywood we take seriously our worship – for we believe that worship is as the heart of the God-human relationship.  In worship we encounter the God who created us and not only receive strength and sustenance for the journey, we also are challenged as to the nature and direction of our lives. We have two different worship services at Emerywood.

The Awakening Service, 8:45am, is less formal and more casual.  It is our "come as you are" service that seeks to present the gospel in a less formal manner.  The music involves both contemporary choruses and some traditional hymns. The preaching is extemporaneous and the minister stands on the main floor level.

The Traditional Service, 11:00am, is just what it says: a traditional Protestant worship service.  In this service our Sanctuary Choir leads us in traditional anthems and our congregational singing employs traditional hymns.  During the seasons of Advent/Christmas and Lent/Easter our ministers wear robes and our worship is more liturgical.

Whatever worship style you may prefer, please understand that our goal is the same: to enable a God-human encounter as we ascribe all worth and praise to our Lord Jesus Christ. We invite you to download and read a recent sermon in PDF format. We hope it inspires you to visit with us soon!

We would love for you to join us this Sunday! If you have any questions about Emerywood call 336-885-6016 or contact us by Email.
