Music Ministry
"I will sing of thy steadfast love, O Lord, for ever;"
Psalm 98
What does it take to be involved in the Music Ministry at Emerywood Baptist Church? All that is required is your Time, your Talent, your Commitment, and your Service and a Heart to serve God through music. As worship leaders all choir participants give and receive many spiritual gifts. Music touches all in mind and spirit, and anthems, choral responses, and other service music underscore, enhance, and re-enforce the message found in scripture, sermons, and many other parts of the worship experience. Traditional music of classical composers drawn from hundred's of years in the past, contemporary and living gospel style, spirituals, folk, and world music are all parts of a beautiful music patchwork quilt bound by the great of hymns of Christianity.
Sanctuary Choir
Wednesday, 7:15 - 8:30 pm (Choir Room)
Sunday, 10:30 - 10:50 am (Choir Room)
Open to all adults - college age through seniors who are willing to give of their time and talent each week at the 11:00 am service. Guest artists are included in these presentations and have included in the past "Messiah" by G.F. Handel, "Gloria" by Antonio Vivaldi, and "Christmas Oratorio" by Camille Saint-Saens as a few examples.
Awakening Consort
Sunday, 8:00 - 9:30 am (Sanctuary)
Open to all vocalists and instrumentalists who wish to share their talents in the Awakening Service at 8:45 am. We hope you can be a part of this small ensemble as we lead the congregation in intimate worship through music of diverse time periods and cultures.
KISS: Music

Ages Pre K - 5th grade
Children in grades Pre K - 5 meet as two separate groups for WAM on Wednesdays after our Fellowship Supper. WAM stands for Worship, Arts, and Music. Other Opportunities
Opportunities exist for those already involved in the Music Ministry at Emerywood and others to perform vocal or instrumental solos and to become a part of instrumental ensembles.
"Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the lands!
Serve the Lord with gladness!
